Indecision is annoying

I need help, and maybe you lovely readers can offer some advice.
I have had this blog for several years now. I used to be very good at blogging on a regular basis, but over the last two years it's really fallen off.
Mostly due to my crazy busy schedule. I miss it a lot and am proud to look back at all my posts.

However, at the beginning of this year, I started a new business brand. Get Social Co.
Get Social Co.is a social media firm for small businesses. I want to build up the blog over there too.
At first I was thinking I should use the Get Social Blog just for social media related posts. Then I would keep this blog for all my personal endeavors.
But it's tough keeping up two blogs! I have a hard enough time just with one!

So my question is..do you think it would be unprofessional to use my Get Social Co blog for everything?
Or should I keep my personal life out of my professional life?

Any thoughts would be REALLY appreciated.

Father's Day 2013

Celebrating Dad is always fun!
I was lucky enough to get two days of celebrations.
Saturday we drove to see my Grandparents. So the kiddo had her Granddad and Great Granddad to celebrate with.
We all went together, me, the kiddo, the mister and his two kids. I love it when we are all together <3

Then Sunday, we drove south to Miami to visit with the mister and his dad and family.
The kids slept all the way there...

We spent the day at at the most amazing house belonging to the mister's sister and brother inlaw.

Great food, great conversations and being all together.
T'was a lovely weekend. Yea for all the great Dads in this world!

It's Time to Celebrate

These past couple of weeks have been very celebratory in our family.
First, my parents celebrated 42 years of wedded bliss!
Secondly, both my parents have birthdays a week apart.
Two Geminis, one house (oh, yeah).

So we all got together for a lovely dinner, down by the water.
It even stopped raining for the entire time we were there.

Just thought I'd share some photos of all the happiness
(and much silliness) with all of you.

We started the day off with lunch at the beach...

Then we met for dinner at Season's 52!

We even helped some other diners rescue a lost flip flop!

All in all, the best part of celebrating milestones, is the people you celebrate them with. In our case, it's our family and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my heart <3

Happy Birthday Mom and Dad, we are so lucky to have you both!!

I May Need An Intervention

Seriously. I can't stop!!
Over the Memorial Day weekend I started watching Gossip Girl on Netflix.
Yes, I realize I'm several years too late to be talking about this, but hey, better late than never...right!??!

I don't usually have a lot of time for TV.  I remember seeing the cast members photos in celebrity gossip magazines and thinking I don't know who they are....and what is this show Gossip Girl?!
I'd roll my eyes and think about how dumb it looked.

Oh how wrong I was!

I feel no shame. It's like a fantastic guilty pleasure....I LOVE IT!!

How great are their clothes...and the drama....and Chuck.
Oh, Chuck Bass. The sad, deeply troubled, orphaned billionaire teen that is thought to be such a bad guy but really is truly a secretly GREAT guy!
OMG...I can't get enough of his outfits, the scarf and the smoking jackets! You laugh, but I just can't turn away! The way he fawns over Blair...I love him SO much!

Seriously, each character is pretty great, except for maybe Vanessa. She's kind of annoying with her "street smarts".
They throw the best parties, the prettiest proms and all the clothes are divine!

How hilarious is it that they ALL drink, at every function, even with their parents. Must be an "Upper East Side" thing.

I'm only on Season 2, but I'm seriously smitten with the entire show. (No spoilers please)

There is so much drama and little side stories...it's the most ridiculous, most fantastic show...ever!
I blame Netflix. They are the enabler. It's so easy to "accidentally" watch 10 episodes in a row.

OK, I feel better, now that I got that off my chest.
Back to my show!

Vintage Nat Geo Ads are divine!

My aunt showed me some national geographic magazines that belong to my Grandparents.
They are from the 1940s. The ads are amazing!! I just thought I would share them with you all.
Enjoy...

Pretty cool, right? Anyone want a pheasant sammich?

What I've been up to

Hello Lovies,
It's been a while since I've posted and I wanted to let you know why.
As 2013 began I started a whole new chapter in my life. I have been working a regular 9-5 gig for over 13 years. For the last 8 of those years I’ve been moonlighting as a Social Media firm, crafty chica, and blogger under the name Hello Sweetcheeks.
Over the years I’ve been working with many small businesses, helping them grow their internet presence. Through all this I have realized that I really enjoy doing social media! I love spending the time making connections and building up a network for different companies. It’s a challenge that’s both fun and entertaining for me. I’ve decided this is the path I want to take.

I thought long and hard about how to make my brand the best it could be. Somehow I couldn’t imagine myself pitching the name Hello Sweetcheeks to a male owned business and ever being able to get them to take me seriously. Heck, most female owned businesses would probably laugh too!
So, as of January 2013 I have officially changed my company name to Get Social Co.
I am officially moving to Social Media for small business…full time!
This is the most excited I’ve been about something in a long time. I’m so thankful to all my friends, family & clients that have encouraged me to take this next (BIG) step and I look forward to all that 2013 has to offer.
I am still planning on using this blog for my personal stuff. I hope you guys will all visit me on my new site too. I've got a blog there too!
Thanks for being patient. xoxox
